You're A Star
I've been taking my daughter to yoga with me at the Zen Den with Kelly.
Today Kelly's calming voice guided us into a pose with us standing with our legs out, arms open, fingers spread, and head up high.
My daughter looked around and then excitedly whispered to me, "Mom, look! We're all stars!"
At that moment I did not feel like a star. I'd just gotten done being all wobbly and unbalanced and my body was still stiff and that's not even mentioning what I was wearing.
But my daughter saw something I didn't.
She saw what was real.
She was right, we all are stars.
Yeah, it sounds cheesy.
It sounds fantastical and not even remotely rooted in the real world.
But ya know what?
The real world sucks!
Literally! It can suck the goodness out of life, the enjoyment out of simplicity, the value out of good, the love out of relationships, the peace out of living, and the joy out of everything that's left. The world can keep its perceived understanding and realism. You're a star, darn it!
The same matter that makes up you is found in galaxies and nebulas and black holes that could swallow whole galaxies.
You share the fundamental building blocks of your creation with the literal Heavens.
So head up, my friend, and shoulders back.
You might walk on this earth but you were created from Celestial glory.
