You Can Keep it Simple

I love pretty dresses!

I love stylized images!

I love flowers, fluff, and tulle like its no bodies business.

But what I love more is connection.

In portraits connection will always win. ALWAYS.

Connection trumps everything else.

My goodness look at those smiles- what happiness and joy!

When I photographed the Bruns family, I told Jennie to keep it simple- "white t-shirts and jeans", I said.

I wanted to keep it simple, keep it just about their family and their love for one another.

If you're worried that your family doesn't have the right clothes for family portraits, don't.

Simple is sometimes better.

It also helps when the family, this family, in my case, is full of joy, love, happiness, and so much goodness my heart could burst.

Bruns Family, simple never looked more good!
